Historical Figure Presentation

This project gave me an opportunity to research important people in the past that impacted STEM at Winston-Salem State University. Learning more about Dr. Wilveria Bass Atkinson's importance to the University, it inspired me to want to help others like she has, even after graduating.
Faculty Research Presentations

Although this was not necessarily a project, it also had an effect on me personally. It was very interesting that our Biology department carries out research. I am going to dental school and they do not require nor recommend research to get in their programs. This class period showed me that research is essential for any profession. It also helped me to realize how important it is to continuously want to learn. My favorite was Dr. Steed.
